Morimoto Asia, operated by the Patina Group at Disney Springs in Orlando, participated in the eighth annual Ramen Rumble on Feb. 2. Event founder Jason Chin of the James Beard Award‑nominated Good Salt Restaurant Group announced that this year’s competition would be the final installment of Ramen Rumble, which has been hosted at Morimoto Asia for several years and draws hundreds of guests. The event features unique ramen dishes from top local restaurants, which are presented to guests and esteemed judges, while raising funds to support Give Kids the World Village.

Since its inception, the event has raised more than $100,000, including more than $17,430 this year for Give Kids the World Village, an 89‑acre nonprofit resort in Central Florida that provides weeklong, cost‑free vacations to children with critical illnesses.

Morimoto Asia Executive Chef Takeshi Ikeuchi, who won Ramen Rumble in 2022, placed second this year for his team’s Carbonara Tonkotsu Ramen, a creamy dish featuring dongpo pork and a shrimp wonton.

Delaware North team members from Marvel Stadium in Melbourne visited Collingwood Children’s Farm on Jan. 29 as part of Delaware North Australia’s new volunteer program. Before getting to work, the group had lunch at Farm Cafe, savoring locally sourced ingredients before exploring the grounds and meeting the pigs, horses, goats, chickens, cats and more on-site.

The team then helped by filling a large hole, clearing branches and debris as well as carrying rocks to build a rock wall. Some team members sorted through the rocks to find the right ones for the structure.

“The work was very labor intensive, but our group showed excellent teamwork and gave it their all,” said Michael Palti, workforce planning lead. “Our guide mentioned that without our help, it could have taken weeks to move the rocks and clear the branches. I’m excited to go back and admire our handiwork.”

“High School Musical” star Monique Coleman (left) visited company-owned TD Garden for the Boston Bruins-Nashville Predators game on Jan. 27. Her appearance was featured in eight social media posts that generated 48,400 engagements, nearly 1 million impressions, 5,600 shares and 453,700 views.

The timing was ideal as the Disney Channel movie celebrated its 20th anniversary, and fans loved seeing Coleman join Blades for the iconic “We’re All in This Together” dance. She capped her visit with a postgame meet-and-greet with Bruins goaltender Jeremy Swayman (right) before both head to Milan for the Winter Olympics, adding even more excitement to the coverage.
