Lake Erie Canopy Tours Guide John “Jack” Varkette created a memorable experience for one family who visited the location, which is owned and operated by Delaware North and adjacent to company-operated The Lodge at Geneva-on-the-Lake in Geneva, Ohio.

The guest was impressed with the service Varkette provided, sharing: “Jack was so patient and encouraging; my son finally tried the zipline and LOVED it! He said it was his favorite part of the day despite it being a fun, packed day of activities. Jack was great with all the kids truly and was really enthusiastic about his role on the course. He really made the day turn around and we are so appreciative.”

Kalaloch Lodge, operated by Delaware North Parks and Resorts in Olympic National Park in Washington state, celebrated Smokey Bear’s 81st birthday on Aug. 9 with a team member event featuring lunch. Smokey Bear is an iconic figured created by the U.S. Forest Service that is broadly used throughout the country’s national parks as a symbol of wildfire prevention and guest education. Pictured during the event (left to right) are housekeeping team members Humberto Aguilar, Sheila Dennise Perez, Lupe Cristina Tafoya Perez, Alex Perez Monroy and Francisco Tafoya Perez.

Orange City Racing and Card Club, owned and operated by Delaware North’s Gaming division in Florida, in August celebrated a milestone moment with one of its Lucky North Rewards members. Momtaz “Monty” Alsbaini, pictured above, reached one million Lucky North Rewards points, worth significant credits, including for food and beverage, and experiences with partner properties. Alsbaini had been working toward the milestone for several years and intends to use the rewards to take his son on a trip to Fontainebleau Las Vegas, a Delaware North partner property.
