Glen Thornborough, president of TD Garden and chief operating officer of the Boston Bruins, on Feb. 21 participated in the “Boston Strong: Putting a Premium on Passion & Loyalty” panel at the National Sports Forum in Boston. One of North America’s premier sports business conferences, the forum brings together top executives from major league teams and industries to discuss the latest trends and innovations shaping the future of sports and entertainment. Pictured during the event (left to right) are Abe Madkour, moderator and executive editor/publisher of Sports Business Journal; Jennifer Epstein, controlling owner of Bos Nation Football Club; Rich Gotham, president of the Boston Celtics; Jessica Gelman, chief executive officer of Kraft Analytics Group; and Thornborough.

The Delaware North Sportservice team at Highmark Stadium, home of the Buffalo Bills, in January helped CBS Sports broadcaster Jim Nantz celebrate his 500th National Football League (NFL) broadcast – which just so happened to coincide with the Buffalo Bills hosting the Denver Broncos in an AFC wild-card round game on Jan. 12.

Mike Reilly, general manager for Delaware North at Highmark Stadium, recently received a handwritten thank-you note from Nantz for the special cake that the team presented him with during the game, thanks to Catering Manager Denise Wolbert and Director of Food and Beverage Corey Kadish.

The note says, “Mike – Thanks to you and all the crew for the thoughtful cake commemorating my 500th NFL broadcast. Your team is always exceptional! With gratitude, Jim Nantz.”

Delaware North Sportservice managers from across the United States traveled to Glendale, Ariz., last month to support three sold-out Savannah Bananas games at Camelback Ranch, a state-of-the-art Major League Baseball spring training facility for the Chicago White Sox and Los Angeles Dodgers. Delaware North team members from Camelback Ranch pictured before a game (left to right) are Tony Colon, warehouse supervisor; Santiago Gomez, chef; Marisa Rico, concessions manager; Killian O’Donnell, general manager; Delaney Reid, premium manager; Raymond Valleau, IT lead; and John Hendron, executive chef.

Miami Valley Gaming (MVG), Delaware North’s joint venture with Churchill Downs Inc. in Lebanon, Ohio, on Feb. 13 donated more than $8,000 to the Family Promise of Warren County organization. The funds were collected through the casino’s latest campaign, inspired by the Game Changer program offered at several Delaware North Gaming locations, during which patrons were encouraged to donate the leftover change from their gaming tickets.

Pictured at the donation presentation in the front row are representatives from Family Promise of Warren County and MVG President and General Manager Kato Moy (far right). Pictured in the back row (from left to right) are MVG team members Roger Bryant, senior director of gaming; Gary Dewitt, senior director of operations; Misty Weathers, director of player loyalty; and Christina Thiemann, senior director of human resources.
