The National Hockey League (NHL) postseason is underway, and for Delaware North it features a distinctive matchup.
Of the seven NHL teams for which Delaware North Sportservice is the hospitality or retail partner, the Boston Bruins and Buffalo Sabres are the two that advanced to the NHL’s field of 16 in the playoffs – and they face each other. It’s a unique matchup considering the Boston Bruins are owned by Delaware North Chairman Jeremy Jacobs and the Buffalo Sabres are the hometown team right down the street from the company’s corporate headquarters.
At both KeyBank Center, home of the Sabres, and the company-owned TD Garden, home of the Bruins, culinary teams are showcasing bold flavors, local favorites and creative presentations that match the intensity of postseason hockey.
Boston Bruins

The Bruins captured the Eastern Conference’s first wild card spot after posting a 100-point season, 24 more than last season in one of the best turnarounds in franchise history.
At TD Garden, Bruins playoff offerings blend New England traditions with high‑impact presentation, spanning concession stands, clubs, suites and premium lounges throughout the arena.
Concession highlights include inventive spins on regional favorites, such as the New England Footlong hot dog topped with Sam Adams beer cheese and Cape Cod kettle chips, the indulgent Fluffah Nuttah Burger topped with marshmallow fluff, peanut butter and crispy bacon, and the dessert‑inspired Boston Cream Pie Fried Dough. Shareable concepts such as oversized chip‑and‑dip platters and wing assortments are designed for group celebrations during every round.
Premium club spaces elevate the experience further. Guests can enjoy items such as lobster melts, bang bang lobster rolls, steak frites and specialty flatbreads, alongside a rotating lineup of Bruins‑themed cocktails and zero‑proof options crafted specifically for playoff rounds. Signature presentations – from souvenir cocktail vessels to playful garnishes – bring added flair to every sip.
Suites and hospitality areas feature chef‑driven menus with upscale dishes such as prime rib, porterhouse steaks, seasonal salads and custom desserts, while specialty sweets and chocolate creations add a celebratory finish.
Buffalo Sabres

In Buffalo, playoff menus lean hard into hometown pride, a fitting backdrop for the team’s first postseason run in 14 seasons and its first Atlantic Division title since 2010.
Many specialty items are served in collectible, Sabres‑branded vessels designed to elevate the game‑day experience.
Fan favorites include shareable platters such as Let’s Go Buffalo Wings & Pizza Logs, served in a souvenir ice rink tray, and the playful “Buffalo Sabres are a Wagon” chicken tenders and fries, packaged in a custom Sabres wagon box. For bigger appetites, the towering Return of the Dominator burger layers multiple beef patties with brisket, bacon, jalapenos and bold sauces between pepperjack grilled cheese sandwiches.
Local flavor shines through with items such as La Nova Stinger Pizza, topped with chicken fingers, steak, hot sauce and blue cheese, and the Tommer Bomber, featuring house‑made meatballs and melted mozzarella. Dessert offerings round out the lineup with Buffalo staples such as sponge candy crunch fried dough and the delicious and local Timmy Shake, made with Perry’s ice cream and Tim Hortons Timbits.
Club and premium spaces feature elevated comfort options, including pulled pork egg rolls, chicken wing loaded tots and a Juicy Lucy burger, giving guests exclusive twists on playoff classics.
Noteworthy
- This marks the ninth postseason meeting between Boston and Buffalo, with the Bruins holding a 6-2 record across their previous eight playoff series. The two clubs most recently met in the postseason in 2010, when Boston earned a conference quarterfinal victory over Buffalo in six games.
