Delaware North Gaming locations create memorable experiences for all guests, and over the last few months have held exclusive events for the VIP guests.
A collaboration between Delaware North and several of the company’s beverage partners, the invite-only events feature beverage pairing or tasting dinners held onsite at each participating location. Attendees are treated to an elevated experience that includes the opportunity to indulge in high-level culinary and beverage offerings.
“We are so excited to offer these Gaming VIP events at our locations and have received excellent feedback from our team members, partners and guests,” said Lindsay Truesdell, director of partnership marketing for Delaware North. “Our beverage partners enjoy the increased brand exposure and awareness, ideally gaining a new loyal customer, while our guests have expressed their gratitude in the intimate, high-level experience.”
Southland Casino Hotel in West Memphis, Ark., held a pre-Kentucky Derby party in partnership with Woodford Reserve, a premium small-batch bourbon brand, that included guided tastings with a Woodford Reserve ambassador, gift bags and complimentary custom-engraved bottles for attendees.
In early May, Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack invited VIPs to a food and wine pairing in partnership with Kobrand Wine & Spirits. Guests were treated to a curated menu featuring pan-seared shrimp and scallops, bone-in filet mignon and wild berry panna cotta brûlée, and each course was paired with a complimentary wine from Kobrand’s extensive portfolio.
The Sheraton Nashua, owned and operated by Delaware North in New Hampshire, hosted a wine tasting event for VIP players from the nearby Gate City Casino, also featuring a thoughtfully curated three-course menu paired with premium selections from Duckhorn Wine’s portfolio.

“Offering our guests the opportunity to participate in one of these exclusive events is another way we are differentiating ourselves in the local gaming markets,” said Steve Martin, director of loyalty for Delaware North’s Gaming division. “In addition to showcasing our team’s culinary expertise and our partners’ offerings, these events foster ongoing loyalty with our best players while positively impacting engagement and revenue at the property and we look forward to more in the future.”
Delaware North’s partnership marketing and procurement teams are working with Gaming marketing and culinary leaders on future events, with several scheduled across the portfolio in the second half of the year.
