Delaware North makes headlines for streamlining automated tip management

VOL 27 ISSUE 36, September 14, 2026

Delaware North has launched TipHaus, an automated tip management platform, at more than 40 locations since March 2025. The rollout is making headlines for successfully transitioning the company’s patchwork of manual, location-by-location tipping processes to a single, automated system handling hundreds of distinct tip-pooling and distribution use cases.

“Partnering with TipHaus has helped Delaware North streamline and modernize our tip management process, reducing administrative effort while improving accuracy and transparency for our leaders,” said Michele Seaver, director of payroll and workforce management at Delaware North.

TipHaus configures specific rules for the operations at each property, which standardizes oversight at the enterprise level without forcing a rigid, one-size-fits-all approach. Delaware North has also adopted TipHaus QR Tipping, Cheers by TipHaus, giving guests a fast, digital way to tip at participating properties.

“Delaware North demonstrates what TipHaus was built to support: complex tip operations at tremendous scale, with hundreds of unique rules across a diverse portfolio of properties and venues,” said Kirk Grogan, chief operating officer and co-founder of TipHaus.
