Marvel Stadium

For Earth Month in April, Delaware North’s team at Marvel Stadium developed Tommy’s Marga-BEE-ta, with all proceeds from beverage sales benefiting pollinator protection. Marvel Stadium in Melbourne, Australia, featured a special beverage, Tommy’s Marga-BEE-ta, available throughout the stadium on April 23, with 100% of proceeds donated to the Wheen Bee Foundation to support pollinator protection in Australia. Delaware North also hosted “Bee Man” Clancy Lester, an environmental educator, who sampled the cocktail and attended the a game alongside the local Delaware North sustainability team.

Kelly Sanchez, Mezzanine clubs manager and GreenPath champion, helped coordinate the event, which also included Delaware North providing lunch in sustainable packaging to all volunteers. Delaware North also provided all stadium staff reusable water bottles with filters, with the plan to distribute approximately 5,000 bottles to reduce waste from single-use plastic bottles.

Pictured are samples of the seed bombs provided to Tenaya at Yosemite guests.

Seed bombs are small, nutrient-rich balls made from natural clay, compost and a carefully selected mix of native pollinator seeds. Designed to protect seeds from harsh conditions, they make growing wildflowers easy and accessible, with no gardening expertise required.
