Delaware North delivers Southern-inspired culinary showcase at 2025 MLB All-Star Game

VOL 26 ISSUE 29, July 21, 2025

Truist Park and the adjacent Battery Atlanta took center stage as the Atlanta Braves hosted the 2025 Major League Baseball (MLB) All-Star Week festivities from July 11 to 15.

With all eyes on Atlanta, the Braves and hospitality partner Delaware North introduced a bold, Southern-inspired culinary lineup to give guests a true taste of the region’s rich food culture. In addition to serving fans inside the ballpark, Delaware North operates year-round restaurants within The Battery Atlanta – including Good Game, H+F Burger and Blue Moon Brewery & Grill – and provides foodservice at the Coca-Cola Roxy theatre.

Delaware North’s Truist Park culinary team, led by Executive Chef Jaco Dreyer, crafted a menu that blended regional comfort food with modern twists. As is customary for high-profile events, chefs and leaders from across Delaware North’s U.S. operations – including Sportservice and Patina Group – were onsite to support.

“We’ve been planning for this event since last year’s All-Star Game in Texas concluded, and I couldn’t be prouder of the creativity and energy our Truist Park team brought to the table,” said Charles Adams, Delaware North’s general manager at Truist Park. “With support from across the company, we delivered a culinary experience that reflected the spirit of Southern hospitality and the depth of talent within our organization.”

Southern flavors shine across Truist Park and The Battery Atlanta

Among the standout concession items were the Down the Bay Burger, featuring a Pat LaFrieda beef-mushroom blend topped with soft-shell crab; Fried Green Tomato Sliders with pimento cheese and carrot bacon; and the Don’t Call It Hotlanta Chicken Sandwich with maple sriracha and chipotle aioli. Fans also sampled Peach Cobbler Nachos, Birria Hot Dogs and the Bless Your Heart Dog – a footlong hot dog rolled in hot Cheetos and Fruity Pebbles.

The Blue Moon Brewery & Grill introduced new All-Star items, including a golden-fried Lobster Roll Reimagined, a Cuban Pork Sandwich and a Steak Dipper Sandwich with au jus.

Premium spaces at Truist Park featured carved tomahawk ribeye, seafood bars, curated charcuterie boards and live culinary activations such as a Bluefin Tuna carving demo – offering fresh poke bowls – and hand-rolled sushi. Specialty cocktails such as the Peach Old Fashioned and ATL Smash rounded out the offerings.

Delaware North, Braves leadership mark All-Star partnership

On the morning of the All-Star Game, senior leaders from Delaware North and the Atlanta Braves gathered for a breakfast meeting, during which Delaware North presented the Braves with a custom plaque to commemorate the event.

Delaware North also marked the occasion with a $25,000 donation to the Atlanta Braves Foundation, which aims “to build community through baseball by engaging Braves Country, reaching vulnerable populations, and improving equity and access in sports, health, education and wellbeing outcomes for children, families and communities.”

Representing Delaware North were Jerry Jacobs Jr., CEO; Jamie Obletz, group president of Delaware North Sportservice and Patina Group; John Kolaski (JK), president of Patina Group; Shawn Mattox, vice president of operations for Delaware North Sportservice; and Charles Adams, general manager at Truist Park. Braves officials included Terry McGuirk, chairman, president and CEO of Atlanta Braves Holdings; Derek Schiller, president and CEO of the Atlanta Braves; and Mike Plant, president and CEO of Braves Development Company.

Tech and accessibility upgrades elevate fan experience

Delaware North also introduced new technology and accessibility features, including robotic service enhancements and a digital allergen guide integrated into the Braves section of the MLB Ballpark App.

The robots – including Bear Robotics’ SERVI+ and LG’s CLOi ServeBot – assisted with food delivery and table bussing in the Blue Moon Brewery & Grill, Delta Club and suites. The technology, deployed as a pilot program, was designed to complement Delaware North’s service teams by enhancing efficiency and allowing staff to focus more on guest engagement.

Guests also benefited from a digital allergen guide, accessible via QR codes throughout the venue, which provided real-time dietary information and chatbot assistance.
