Delaware North brought the fun, flavor and fitness to the J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge on June 12 at Delaware Park in Buffalo, where more than 100 team members from Western New York participated in the 3.5-mile race series that celebrates corporate camaraderie and wellness.
The local Delaware North Sportservice team, led by Chef Christina Michael, catered to a crowd of 670 participants across five company tents – Delaware North, JP Morgan, Buffalo Sabres, NFTA and Dupont – as well as the Community Zone.
The team served up an impressive BBQ-style spread that included:
- 1,500 hot dogs
- 1,000 hamburgers
- 480 pounds of chicken
- 300 pounds of potato salad
- 1,800 beers
- Over 2,000 waters
The operation was a full-scale effort, and involved a crew of 15 culinarians who handled everything from prepping at KeyBank Center to transporting equipment and ingredients, setting up a temporary outdoor kitchen at the park, executing service on-site and packing it all back up post-event.
Delaware North has supported the Corporate Challenge for years, and encourages team members from all Western New York locations to participate.
