More than 50 volunteers from the Boston Bruins, the NHL team owned by Delaware North Chairman Jeremy Jacobs, and Coca-Cola Beverages Northeast joined forces with Rebuilding Together Boston on July 30 for a day of service.
Volunteers helped revitalize the Jackson Mann Community Center, a Boston Centers for Youth & Families facility that provides programs and services for residents of all ages in Boston’s Allston-Brighton neighborhoods. The Bruins’ practice facility, Warrior Ice Arena, is also located in Brighton.

As longtime partners, the Bruins, Boston Bruins Foundation and Coca-Cola share a commitment to supporting organizations that provide resources and programs that strengthen the communities they serve. For 35 years, Rebuilding Together Boston has done just that by repairing homes, revitalizing communities and rebuilding lives.

Volunteers, including Bruins Foundation Coordinator Tommy Comparato (picturedabove), helped improve the community center by painting and installing flooring inside the facility, as well as painting and installing planters and raised tree beds outdoors.

Earlier this month, the Boston Bruins Foundation also participated in the 47th annual Pan-Mass Challenge, a Massachusetts-based bike-a-thon that raises funds for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, a world leader in adult and pediatric cancer treatment and research.
This year marked the foundation’s 20th year participating in the event. The team rode in support of Stella, its PMC Pedal Partner, pediatric patients at Dana-Farber, their families and everyone contributing to the fight against cancer.
Thirty-three riders representing Spoked B cycled 177 miles from Worcester to Provincetown over two days, raising funds for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. The team has raised more than $240,000 so far this year and more than $4.6 million since it began participating in the event.
