Texas Rangers and Delaware North Companies Sportservice Providing More Affordable Options, Adding New Menu Items for Rangers Fans

The Texas Rangers and Delaware North Companies Sportservice are introducing two concession stands featuring discounted items and also offering value meals to give Rangers fans more affordable food and beverage options this season at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington.

The two discount locations will offer smaller versions of popular ballpark items such as soft drinks and beer for significantly less. The prices will range from $1.50 to $5 depending on the item.

In addition, Sportservice developed a bundled meal concept it is calling a Value Meal, which will be available in select locations. The bundle options are a hotdog, soda and either chips or fries. The chip meal will cost $5.75 for a savings of $3.75 over what the items would cost if purchased individually. The fries meal will cost $6.75 for a savings of $4.75.

Other ways Rangers fans can still purchase great food and beverage at the ballpark but at a savings:

n      A 16.9-oz. version of the $4.50 20-ozBottle of water will be available for $3.

n      In addition to the large, 22-oz. Souvenir Beer for $7.50, all permanent concession stands will offer a 16-oz. beer for $5.

n      Suites and Restaurant locations will offer a different special for each home stand that will be similar to the Value Meal but offer more variety.

n      The All You Can Eat section has been expanded from about 900 seats to more than 2,100. The section offers either a restaurant or concessions featuring nachos, hot dogs, grilled chicken, popcorn, peanuts, and soda. All food is included with ticket purchase.

Sportservice and the Rangers are also adding several new concessions, club and suite menu concepts to provide additional choices:

n      The new Nolan Ryan Burger stand will sell Nolan Ryan Guaranteed Tender beef and sausage dishes such as sliders, burgers, and sausage on a stick. It will also offer onion rings and have the feel of an old-time burger joint.

n      A new ICEE mix-it-up stand offers nine flavors to mix and match in a souvenir cup for $10.00. Fans can then return for refills at a discounted price of $3.00.

n      The Lone Star Burrito stand has been enhanced so fans can build their own custom burrito – sort of a hybrid between Chipotle Mexican Grill and Which Wich, the customizable sandwich restaurant chain. Guests check boxes on a small paper menu for each item they want, and the burrito is prepared to their specifications right in front of them. Available are a beef or chicken burrito or burrito bowl (a taco salad) with a choice of Spanish rice, black beans, cheese (shredded or nacho), sour cream, lettuce, tomatoes, salsa and chipotle ranch salad.

n      Sportservice is adding roaming bars on the suite level so guests can order drinks by the glass rather than a full bottle for the suite.

n      The Rangers have added an all-inclusive ticket behind home plate that affords fans a free buffet at the Diamond Club Restaurant, in-seat service and all-you-can-eat peanuts, popcorn, sodas, and water.
