Team Member Resource Group HOLA hosts a conversation with Chef Carlos Gaytán

World-renowned chef Carlos Gaytán joined Team Member Resource Group HOLA (Hispanic and Latinx Organization for Leadership and Achievement) for a virtual conversation on Oct. 9.

Gaytán, the first Mexican-born chef to earn a coveted Michelin star, partners with Delaware North’s Patina Restaurant Group to bring his culinary vision to Paseo, Céntrico and Tiendita, concepts operated by Patina at Downtown Disney in California.

Gaytán shared his awe-inspiring story, starting with his inspiration from his mother. Gaytán shared personal insights and heart-warming anecdotes, including how his mother traveled to California to test her cochinita (slow-roasted pork) recipe before he could serve it to guests at his new concepts.

The conversation was led by Frank Moreno, HOLA founding co-chair and vice president of operations for Patina at Downtown Disney, who was introduced by Gonzalo Checa, HOLA executive sponsor and vice president of procurement and category management for Delaware North, and featured a Q&A portion with the team
tuning in virtually.
