Hungry baseball fans in Minneapolis have been treated to several “pop-up” events in recent weeks, courtesy of Delaware North Sportservice’s Taste of Target Field food truck. The kitchen on wheels serves ballpark fare from Target Field – home of Major League Baseball’s Minnesota Twins – and has been making impromptu stops all over the city.
The events are announced via social media and feature free lunches, tailgate-style games and autograph sessions with Twins players and the team’s mascot, TC Bear.
So far, events have taken place at some of Minneapolis’s most well-known landmarks – including Government Plaza and the Stone Arch Bridge – with Twins players Tyler Duffey, Ryan Pressly, Byron Buxton and Kyle Gibson joining the action.
More events and giveaways are in the works. Twins fans are encouraged to follow @TastyTwinsTruck on Twitter for upcoming events.
