Sportservice unveils Detroit-inspired specialty menu for Tigers’ 125th  Anniversary Weekend at Comerica Park

Limited-time food and beverage offerings celebrate Detroit neighborhoods, local traditions and 125 years of Tigers baseball

DETROIT (July 22, 2026) — Sportservice, the longtime hospitality and retail partner of the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park, has created a lineup of specialty food and beverage offerings to celebrate the club’s 125th anniversary — giving fans a taste of Detroit’s rich culinary traditions and baseball heritage during the Tigers’ 125th Anniversary Celebration Weekend, which takes place July 23-26.

Available exclusively throughout the four-day celebration, the limited-time menu features shareable ballpark classics, Detroit-inspired sandwiches, indulgent desserts and commemorative cocktails designed to honor the people, neighborhoods and traditions that have helped define Tigers baseball across generations.

“For 125 years, Tigers baseball has brought generations of fans together, and food has always been part of those memories,” said Joe Slomski, general manager for Sportservice at Comerica Park. “As we thought about this milestone weekend, we wanted to create menu items that celebrate both the history of the Tigers and the flavors that make Detroit unique. Whether it’s sharing hot dogs and Cracker Jack with family, enjoying a Detroit classic or trying something over the top, we hope these offerings become part of fans’ memories of this special celebration.”

To mark the milestone anniversary, Sportservice is introducing The 1-2-5 Deal, a nostalgic family-style feast that pays tribute to the Tigers’ 125 years with one bag of peanuts, two bags of Cracker Jack and five classic ballpark hot dogs. Available at Big-League Grill locations throughout the ballpark, the offering celebrates the timeless flavors that have been part of the baseball experience for generations.

Several menu items draw inspiration directly from Detroit’s neighborhoods and cultural roots. The “Big Joe” Joseph Campeau Shareable Sampler recognizes the city’s proud Polish heritage with a hearty combination of pierogi, Polish sausage, sauerkraut and a giant pretzel. Nearby, the Corktown Stacked Corned Beef Sandwich pays tribute to one of Detroit’s most iconic neighborhoods, layering Wigley’s corned beef, Swiss cheese, Motor City slaw and Russian dressing on marbled rye.

Detroit’s signature food traditions are also well represented throughout the lineup. The Downtown Footlong Coney offers an oversized take on the city’s beloved coney dog, while the Detroit Steak Sandwich features chopped ribeye from Detroit-based Fairway Packing Company, topped with provolone cheese, caramelized peppers and onions and sports pepper aioli on a hoagie roll.

Fans looking for something to share can try the “Eat ’Em Tigers” Shareable Botana, a game-day-ready creation inspired by the Detroit-area favorite. Loaded with tortilla chips, refried beans, mild chorizo, queso, green olives, jalapeños, tomatoes and avocado crema, it delivers bold flavors and pays homage to another uniquely Detroit food tradition.

The celebration extends to dessert with a pair of offerings that blend local nostalgia with ballpark indulgence. The “Bless You Boys” Cake Ice Cream Sundae combines pieces of Detroit’s famous Bumpy Cake with ice cream, chocolate sauce and sprinkles, while the “Tiger Town” Frozen Cooler mixes a spicy ginger frozen concoction with vanilla ice cream and is served in a collectible souvenir cup.

The most eye-catching item on the menu is the All-American Ear, an over-the-top tribute to America’s pastime. The dessert begins with an elephant ear and is topped with vanilla ice cream, Cracker Jack crumble, apple pie filling, whipped cream, a cherry and even a candied hot dog.

To complement the specialty food offerings, Sportservice also created three commemorative cocktails available throughout select locations at Comerica Park. The 1901, named for the Tigers’ first season in the American League, combines Casamigos Blanco tequila, grapefruit juice, fresh lemon juice, demerara syrup, bitters and soda. The sparkling Timeless Toast blends gin, lemon, simple syrup and champagne, while the colorful 1-2-5 Glittery Golden Hurricane features rum with orange and cherry flavors.
