Niagara Falls State Park has introduced a new rental service for an array of recreation amenities to make navigating the park easier during the summer months. The rentals, which are available now through Columbus Day (Oct. 8), include three types of bicycles, strollers, wagons and wheelchairs.
Rentals can be purchased for hourly or daily use from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. (Sunday through Thursday) and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. (Friday and Saturday). The rentals tent is located outside of the park’s Visitor Center on the lower level behind the building.
“There’s so much to explore in the park and now there’s even more ways to do it,” said Michael Barnes, general manager for Delaware North, which operates food, beverage and retail services at the park. “We’re always looking for ways to enhance the guest experience, and we’re excited to offer these new options that make visiting the Falls more enjoyable and more convenient.”
Bicycles: Three different bicycles are available (three-speed Townie Cruiser, seven-speed Townie Cruiser and children’s bikes for kids ages 7 to 13). A helmet and lock are included for free with all bike rentals.
Strollers/Wagons: Foldable strollers and wagons provide an easy way to transport children around the park. Strollers feature rubber tires and three wheels for easy pushing and a comfortable ride, while wagons can accommodate two children at once, and two pivoting front wheels and four wheels total.
Wheelchairs: Foldable wheelchairs can hold up to 450 lbs. of weight and include hand brakes for added safety. They are waterproof and can be used on the Maid of the Mist, Cave of the Winds (main deck only) and can be used on the park’s trolleys.
