Several Delaware North-operated parks and resorts locations received praise this month from notable and influential sources.
The Best Western Rocky Mountain Lodge, operated by Delaware North in Whitefish, Mont., received the 2019 Champion Customer Care Award from Best Western. According to a letter from Best Western President and CEO David Kong, the hotel ranked in the top 10 percent in the Medallia “Overall Service” category, achieved a Quality Assurance score in the top 20 percent in 2018, and achieved and maintained a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence, among other qualifications.
“Thank you for your demonstrating outstanding levels of service and care to your guests,” Kong said in a letter to Delaware North Regional Vice President Derek Zwickey. “It’s because of hotels like yours that Best Western remains a trusted and preferred brand among today’s travelers.”
In addition, two Delaware North properties were recently featured in an Outside magazine piece titled “7 National Parks that are Even Better in Winter.”
For travelers visiting Rocky Mountain National Park, the magazine recommends a stay at the company-owned-and-operated Ridgeline Hotel Estes Park, noting “the [onsite restaurant] Latitude 105 Alehouse in the lobby serves up good beers and great burgers.”
It also recommended the Delaware North-operated Kalaloch Lodge to visitors of Olympic National Park, highlighting the property’s “amazing storm watching from the porch.”
The Gideon Putnam, the historic Delaware North-operated hotel in Saratoga Spa State Park, N.Y., made also made news this week as it was listed among New York State’s best hotels by U.S. News.
“The property is chock-full of outdoor activities: Cross-country skiing is popular in the winter and hiking takes over in the warmer months. And then there’s the legendary Roosevelt Baths & Spa, a popular R&R hot spot since the 1930s,” the publication said, referencing the popular Delaware North-operated spa located just a short walk from the hotel.
