Parks and Resorts debuts ‘Spirits of Adventure’ cocktail menu and augmented reality experience

Delaware North’s Parks and Resorts division on Aug. 1 debuted a beverage limited-time offer (LTO) menu featuring an augmented reality experience catering to guests’ sense of adventure and exploration.

The Parks and Resorts-themed “Spirits of Adventure” LTO features four specialty cocktails that transport guests – both through augmented reality (AR) and flavor profiles and ingredients – to iconic destinations such as Rocky Mountain National Park, Yosemite National Park, Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex and Grand Canyon National Park.

A high-quality experience guide features the exclusive menu along with high-resolution images, recommendations for sightseeing, shopping and accommodations at each destination, and a QR code that launches the AR component when scanned with a mobile device.

An excerpt from the guide describes the experience:

A fresh, perfectly mixed cocktail can take you places you’ve never been before. If bold exploration is your thing, the Spirits of Adventure experience guide was made with you in mind. Try four cocktails that personify some of America’s most exciting destinations.

Curious to know what these special places are really like? Our virtual reality technology will transport you to these worlds for a sneak peek.

Available at all Delaware North’s Parks and Resorts locations, the Spirits of Adventure LTO is a true cross-marketing effort. A guest can enjoy the Desert Haze Margarita – featuring Espolòn Blanco tequila, Dos Hombres mezcal, mango, fresh lime juice, finished with black lava salt and a lime wedge – at the Grand Canyon while being encouraged to book a trip to Florida’s Space Coast to visit the visitor complex and stay at the Courtyard by Marriott Titusville.

“We are excited to see the Spirits of Adventure menu launch throughout Delaware North’s Parks and Resorts locations,” said Brian Sterner, vice president of food and beverage for the division. “The ability for guests to enhance their experience and book their next trip at one of our iconic destinations is something we believe they will enjoy. We are proud of the team who collaborated on this project and really brought this fun and exciting concept to life.”
