TPA Hospitality Partners this week formally opened New York New York Pizza at Tampa International Airport (TPA), which continues to add to Delaware North’s presence at Florida’s third-busiest airport.
While pizza is beloved everywhere, New York New York Pizza has been a popular destination for nearly a decade in Tampa’s Ybor City district. The original restaurant’s owner, Freddy Mamudi, brought recipes from an Italian immigrant in New York City down to Tampa to open a restaurant offering authentic New York-style pizza with tried-and-true recipes and techniques. It quickly caught on, and soon there were six New York New York Pizza locations throughout the city.
The airport location offers a variety of gourmet pizzas, hot and cold sub sandwiches, pastas, salads, classic Italian appetizers such as garlic knots and meats, and a breakfast menu.
Delaware North’s travel division has had a growing footprint at TPA in recent years, opening several new restaurant locations for well-known Tampa eateries, including RumFish Grill and Four Green Fields.
