Morimoto Asia marks 10 years at Disney Springs with passport program and anniversary celebration

Morimoto Asia, Patina Group’s acclaimed pan-Asian restaurant in partnership with Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto at Disney Springs in Orlando, last month celebrated its 10th anniversary.

On Sept. 14, the restaurant kicked off its anniversary year with a spectacular event, including a bluefin tuna carving ceremony led by Chef Morimoto, followed by Instagram-worthy meet-and-greets and sake tastings. Guests enjoyed signature dishes such as Peking duck, ramen and takoyaki, paired with curated cocktails and beer.

Introducing the “Passport to Morimoto Asia” program

To commemorate the milestone, this month Morimoto Asia launched the yearlong “Passport to Morimoto Asia” for repeat guests to embark on a culinary journey across Asia, with each month spotlighting a different country’s signature dish and cocktail. Guests receive a custom-designed passport to collect stamps as they sample new flavors throughout the year.

  • Guests who collect all 24 stamps will win a weekend getaway to Boston, including two tickets for an event at company-owned-and-operated TD Garden, dinner for two and a complimentary hotel stay.
  • Guests who collect 12 stamps will be invited to an exclusive reception at Morimoto Asia, hosted by Chef Morimoto himself.

Anniversary event attendees were among the first to receive the new passport and had the opportunity to win VIP experiences.

Since opening in 2015, Morimoto Asia has become a must-visit destination, celebrated for its two-story design, glass-encased kitchen, elegant sushi bar and private lounges.

“We are very excited to launch Passport to Morimoto Asia, a program designed to thank our dedicated guests who have embraced us over the past decade,” said Paul Snyder, general manager of Morimoto Asia. “I’ve been with Patina Group for 18 years, and when we opened in 2015, we could not have imagined the overwhelming love and support we would receive. We are excited for our new and returning guests to participate in the program and look forward to many more years at Disney Springs.”

Beyond its culinary achievements, Morimoto Asia is deeply committed to giving back. Annual events such as the Ramen Rumble have raised over $100,000 for Give Kids the World, reflecting the restaurant’s ongoing service to the community.
