WASHINGTON, D.C. (Oct. 21, 2014) — Delaware North Companies Principal Jerry Jacobs Jr. joined travel industry leaders on Tuesday at the U.S. Department of the Interior in Washington, D.C., to participate in a three-part presentation moderated by National Park Service Director Jon Jarvis.
The presentation focused on inviting all Americans – and international guests – to enjoy national parks by promoting the relevance of parks to leisure travelers, reaching Millennials with messages about outdoor fun, and creating new park traditions among segments of the American public with little park connectivity.
Jacobs in March was appointed to a two-year term on the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Travel and Tourism Advisory Board. He is active in travel and tourism industry issues and also serves on U.S. Travel’s CEO Roundtable.
