Louis “Lou” M. Jacobs is Chief Executive Officer of Delaware North, a title and role he shares with his brothers, Jerry and Charlie. He also serves as an alternate governor to the Boston Bruins. Delaware North is a family-owned, global leader in hospitality and entertainment, with diversified operations in food and retail at airports and sports venues, hospitality services at national and state parks, hotel ownership and management, gaming operations, fine dining and catering, and sports facility ownership and management.
As CEO, Lou oversees the company and its seven operating subsidiaries, focusing on strategic growth and planning, corporate governance and financial management. Lou joined Delaware North in 1986 and has served in leadership roles across the enterprise, including time spent leading the company’s Australia operations, before assuming the role of CEO in 2015.
Lou is passionate about strengthening the community where he lives. He serves on the board of directors for FeedMore WNY, a non-profit agency that works to alleviate hunger across Western New York, and is also chairing the organization’s capital campaign. He serves on the board of directors for the UB Foundation, which supports and promotes the University at Buffalo by assisting in the acquisition of strategic assets and managing and providing resources. Additionally, Lou is a member of the Everglades Foundation’s Chairman’s Advisory Council, as well as the American Gaming Association CEO Roundtable. A lifelong horse enthusiast, Lou is a past Committee Member on the Harry M. Zweig Memorial Fund for Equine Research at Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine.
Lou earned both a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Business Administration from Harvard University. He and his wife Joan reside in East Aurora, N.Y. They have two children, Louis Jr. and Charlotte.
