Delaware North’s Travel leadership team recently made a memorable impression at the latest Airport Experience Conference March 30 – April 2 in Washington, D.C., with a series of remarkable highlights and accomplishments. The conference is organized by Airport Experience News.

For the second consecutive year, Delaware North proudly hosted the Opening Night Happy Hour, kicking off the AX Conference on March 30 with a fun and engaging activation that gave attendees a peek behind the curtain at another company subsidiary: Gaming.

With an in-house DJ, live table games and happy hour hospitality, conference attendees were treated to a fun and engaging kickoff to the conference. The Delaware North Travel team was joined by Jill Eden, vice president of loyalty and guest engagement for Gaming, who showcased the true breadth of Delaware North’s hospitality experience.

One of the most memorable moments of the conference was when Delaware North’s team at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) was awarded the Best Local Management Team award during the Awards Gala.

The prestigious award recognizes a concessions team that excels in partnering with the airport to provide a desirable food and beverage and retail selection, coupled with excellent customer service, resulting in an extraordinary passenger experience.

Deb Ward, managing director of business development for Travel, Parks and Resorts and Australia, delivered an engaging and insightful talk titled “Beyond Trends: Using Data to Deliver Effective Hospitality” during the Trends Mixer Session. Her presentation sparked a meaningful discussion on how Delaware North uses data to inform the company’s strategy to ensure guest satisfaction.
