Todd Merry, Delaware North’s chief marketing officer (CMO), recently won the 2015 CMO Customer Experience Award, which recognizes demonstrated leadership in creating high-impact customer experiences.
The award is one of the CMO Club’s annual awards in 10 categories, recognizing top senior marketing executives. They are the only awards of their kind given to CMOs by their peers. Four winners per category were determined on Sept. 30, and all finalists, winners and the 2015 CMO Hall of Fame inductee were honored at The CMO Awards Dinner on Nov. 17 in New York City.
The Customer Experience Award is one of two new awards that were created this year – Creativity is the other – representing significant areas of focus that club members felt were essential to honor across their peer community.
Merry was nominated based on the exceptional work of Delaware North’s digital marketing team, which he oversees, to enhance the customer experiences at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex and other Delaware North operating locations. The team this year focused on developing a holistic view and process for connecting the visitor experience via websites, mobile platforms, social media and eCommerce, providing opportunities to increase loyalty and create brand ambassadors.
