Matt King, president of Travel Hospitality Services, stated, “I am pleased we have an agreement, not to mention one that so many of our employees support. That tells me the system is working and that we’re meeting the needs of our employees and guests. Here in Chicago, we have strong support from the local union, which has given Delaware North a strong endorsement. With this behind us, we continue to look forward to the opportunity to bring our unique brand of award-winning travel hospitality to Chicago O’Hare.”
Henry Tamarin, President of Unite Here Local 1 in Chicago, stated "Unite Here supports Delaware North in bringing their airport business to Chicago O’Hare. Delaware North is the only airport concessionaire with a national contract covering all its airport operations. Delaware North and Unite Here just signed a new national contract that received overwhelming support from Unite Here members."
“Delaware North Companies has had an excellent, multi-decade union relationship with Unite Here. This new agreement solidifies the choice of our employees and the strategic direction of our operations,” concluded King.
