Delaware North’s Parks and Resorts locations continue to receive accolades for the unique accommodations they offer guests, and several have been named to the 2026 U.S. News & World Report’s Best Hotels and Best Resorts rankings in the United States.

The 16th annual Best Hotels rankings evaluate properties across the United States, Europe, Bermuda, Mexico, Canada and the Caribbean. U.S. News is the only organization to evaluate hotels by taking into account the aggregate opinion of published travel experts through industry awards and the overall customer satisfaction expressed in online guest reviews.

Delaware North locations named to the 2026 Best Resorts Ranking list:

  • Tenaya at Yosemite is the No. 1 resort in the Yosemite National Park region, No. 74 in California and No. 434 in the country. Tenaya also earned a Gold badge for the first time, which signifies the top 20% of ranked luxury hotels or resorts within the ranking list, as well as the number one property in each state, region or destination if it also ranks in the top 50%.
  • The Squire at Grand Canyon, a Holiday Inn Resort, is the No. 1 resort in the Grand Canyon National Park region, No. 55 in Arizona and No. 828 in the country.
  • Mardi Gras Casino & Resort is the No. 1 resort in the Charleston, W.Va. region, and No. 3 in West Virginia.
  • The Westin Buffalo is the No. 3 hotel in the Buffalo area and No. 101 in the state.

U.S. News rated more than 31,000 hotels for the 2026 rankings. The highest-scoring hotels are recognized by experts and everyday travelers for their exceptional quality.

“The hotels highlighted in U.S. News’ 2026 Best Hotels rankings set the standard for top-tier customer service, stellar amenities and truly memorable guest experiences,” said Zach Watson, senior data editor, travel at U.S. News. “Recognition in this year’s rankings sets hotels and resorts apart as the industry’s best, and each list provides a starting point for travelers seeking the best options for them.”

The Best Hotels methodology factors in data, including awards and recognition, hotel class and guest rating, to determine the ranking. U.S. News evaluates the number and prominence of awards and recommendations a hotel has received from expert travel industry sources. Hotel class is determined after reviewing multiple sources, and a hotel’s Guest Rating is calculated using data from various providers.
