Acquisition of snowmobile tour company increases hospitality company’s regional offerings
Delaware North, a global hospitality and entertainment company with significant operations in the region, is expanding its offerings at Yellowstone National Park with the acquisition of snowmobile tour and rental company Two Top Snowmobile Rental Inc. – just in time for Yellowstone’s winter season.
Delaware North completed the acquisition and began operating Two Top this week, adding more than 150 snowmobiles and increasing the number of snowcoaches to 14, effectively doubling its current Yellowstone Vacation Tours operation. Two Top is based in West Yellowstone, Mont., a top gateway destination to the park. Yellowstone Vacation Tours is based in both West Yellowstone and Gardiner.
Winter experiences provided by Yellowstone Vacation Tours and Two Top include thrilling snowmobile tours and rentals, snowcoach tours from West Yellowstone and Gardiner, snowshoe and cross-country ski tours and more activities both in and outside of Yellowstone National Park. All tours are facilitated by professional certified guides who take visitors to some of Yellowstone's most spectacular vistas while sharing fascinating facts about the park.
“With the addition of Two Top to Yellowstone Vacation Tours, Delaware North is able to create complete vacation itineraries for visitors to Yellowstone National Park,” said Scott Socha, Delaware North parks and resorts president. “Winter is an incredible time to visit, and travelers will find that all the top experiences, guides and accommodations can be found in one convenient place.”
Two Top Snowmobile Rental Inc. was established in 1966 and owned and operated by David and Jamie McCray until the Delaware North acquisition. Delaware North has operated Yellowstone Vacation Tours since 2016 and is widely recognized as the one-stop-shop for travelers to Yellowstone National Park, offering lodging, tours and activities.
Delaware North operates five Yellowstone National Park-area lodging properties. There are four West Yellowstone lodging options – the Holiday Inn® West Yellowstone, Gray Wolf Inn & Suites, Yellowstone Park Hotel and the Explorer Cabins at Yellowstone – in addition to the newly rebranded The Ridgeline Hotel at Yellowstone in Gardiner, formerly known as the Best Western by Mammoth Hot Springs.
Delaware North also operates 12 general stores in Yellowstone National Park under a contract with the U.S. National Park Service.
