The Delaware North team at Richmond International Airport recently continued its annual $10,000 sponsorship of the Junior Achievement (JA) of Central Virginia.
The annual sponsorship helps young entrepreneurs learn about the free market system and educates them on how to bring products to the global economy.
“JA plays a vital role with developing today's young people into tomorrow's community business leaders,” said Steve Bass, a regional vice president of Delaware North’s travel hospitality business.
Since partnering with JA, Delaware North has contributed more than $100,000 to the organization.
“Corporate partners play a major role in bringing Junior Achievement programs to our youth – through both financial and volunteer support,” said Daphne Walker, president of Junior Achievement of Central Virginia. “Without the committed partnership of many businesses in Virginia, we would not be able to serve nearly 26,000 students each year. Junior Achievement of Central Virginia is pleased to partner with Delaware North to help inspire and empower those students to own their economic success and succeed in the global economy.”
