Since winning four bid packages in August 2015 to open several retail stores and a restaurant, Delaware North’s already impressive operation at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport has taken flight.
The momentum in the Twin Cities could be seen in recent weeks as Delaware North and joint-venture partner CBR Partners celebrated the opening of three new retail outlets at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport: Inspired Art & Life, Flirt Boutique and JetSet News.
Inspired Art & Life is an innovative new “gallery store” that showcases local, regional and national art pieces with an array of handmade products, including a line from Native American artists. Feeding off Northeastern Minneapolis’s eclectic art scene and a partnership with the American Craft Council, the store offers a wide array of works ranging from two-dimensional arts to works in pottery, glass, metal or wood, as well as wearable art including jewelry, scarves and apparel.
Flirt Boutique, opened as a second location for the original store in St. Paul, is a lingerie boutique specializing in classic looks reminiscent of old Hollywood glamour. Flirt appeals to both younger and more mature clientele. Personal-shopping-style customer service and an inviting environment offer travelers a comfortable shopping atmosphere.
JetSet News is a spinoff of Delaware North’s proprietary JetSet Market store, with a focus on providing convenience items, sundries, reading material, snacks, bottled beverages, grab-and-go foods, apparel and souvenirs.
In the not-so-distant future, Delaware North is also set to open Twins Grill – a partnership with the Minnesota Twins – at the airport. The restaurant will be a unique blend of Delaware North subsidiaries, with a mix of both a Delaware North Sportservice client (the Minnesota Twins) and the company’s travel business.
