Delaware North is set to celebrate the 20th anniversary of TD Garden, the world-class arena that the company owns and operates in Boston, with a free birthday party. TD Garden recently announced the launch of "Banner Moments," a fan and community engagement campaign and a backstage birthday party on Sept. 30, the arena’s 20th anniversary.
Fans will be treated to a first-ever half-ice, half-parquet arena floor setup. From 3 to 7 p.m., fans will be invited to take a shot on the Bruins ice and a three-point attempt on the historic Celtics parquet court, as well as capture a once-in-a-lifetime photo between both team logos at center ice/court, and get a backstage experience. In true birthday party fashion, all ticketed fans will receive official TD Garden party favors and unique "BannerMoments" will happen throughout the day.
"More than anything, we wanted to take this opportunity of TD Garden’s 20th birthday and Delaware 
North’s 100th anniversary to say thank you," said Charlie Jacobs, CEO for Delaware North’s Boston Holdings.
"Thank you to the artists, promoters, athletes and fans who have helped create so many banner moments for Boston over the past couple of decades. We hope that this free birthday party for the community will be a unique chance for fans to get as close as ever and experience TD Garden like they never have before," Jacobs said.

"TD Garden may be turning 20, but the arena has never looked better!" said TD Garden President Amy Latimer, speaking about the recent $70 million renovation of the arena. "With all of the exciting fan enhancements we’ve implemented in the past couple years, it feels like it’s a brand new venue again. We’re looking forward to delivering many more memorable banner moments in the years to come."
The $160 million privately financed TD Garden has generated more than $325 million in direct economic impact to the Greater Boston region from its major national events alone, not including its high-profile Bruins and Celtics tenants. The arena has played host to countless marquee events, including the Democratic National Convention, NHL All-Star Game, NCAA Frozen Fours, NCAA Women’s Final Four, NCAA March Madness. TD Garden is also slated to host the upcoming 2016 World Figure Skating Championships and 2018 NCAA Men’s Basketball East Regionals.
TD Garden is home to more pro championship banners than any arena in the country, honoring the Bruins’ six Stanley Cup championships and the Celtics’ 17 NBA titles.
