Mindil Beach Casino Resort in Australia celebrates 40th anniversary

Delaware North’s 5-star gaming and entertainment destination in Darwin, Australia, on April 28 celebrated its 40th anniversary with an evening of entertainment on the beachside lawns overlooking Fannie Bay.

Mindil Beach Casino Resort – which Delaware North acquired in 2019 and has continued to enhance – invited the community to join the free party featuring live music, food trucks and a fireworks display filling the Darwin sky. Gary Brown, Delaware North’s managing director for Australia and New Zealand, joined Mindil Beach Casino Resort General Manager Avril Baynes in leading the celebration.

A highlight of the property is its man-made lagoon pool with white sand beach and Darwin’s only swim-up bar.

“We are immensely proud to serve as stewards of this incredible, unique property and look forward to continuing to deliver world-class entertainment experiences to our guests while supporting the local community,” Baynes said.

Mindil Beach Casino Resort is a major contributor to the regional economy, providing hundreds of jobs to local residents, and raises nearly $60,000 annually for a wide variety of local charitable organizations.
