Delaware North Receives Extension at its LAX Bradley International Terminal Concession Location Through 2013

Extension Includes Daily Grill Restaurant Makeover and Addition of New, Iconic Dining Destination

LOS ANGELES (June 29, 2009) – Delaware North Companies Travel Hospitality Services, one of the world’s leading airport food and retail providers, announced today that it received a contract extension until 2013 to operate its popular Daily Grill restaurant, one of the premier branded retail locations at The Bradley International Terminal (TBIT) of the Los Angeles World Airports (LAX).

The contract extension will include a major makeover of the Daily Grill restaurant at TBIT, and the addition of a completely new, locally branded dining concept at the location. This new retail airport concept will be announced by Delaware North next month.

Delaware North introduced the Daily Grill to LAX in 1997 as part of the global hospitality company’s pioneering “Gateway Concept,” which focuses on bringing in locally branded concepts to major public venues like airports, sporting arenas and other travel destinations. “Providing unique retail experiences for travelers is what we’re all about,” said Bob Stanton, vice president of business development for Delaware North Travel Hospitality Services. “We’re on a constant quest to find innovative brands that reflect the local flair and cultures of the cities and communities where we operate.”

The highly successful Daily Grill, which continues to be one of the Los Angeles area’s best-known must-do places to dine, is the largest full-service airport restaurant to operate in the United States. Its 8,300 square-foot property features a private dining room, intimate booths and large bar. The planned renovation, similar to the large-scale remodeling Delaware North recently completed at its Ontario International Airport retail locations, will include a more open and expansive floor plan, updated exterior façade and renovated bar area with flat screen TVs.

“Daily Grill is known for its first-rate fare and a first-class dining experience,” said Phillip Gay, president and CEO of Daily Grill. “Delaware North, with its same high standards for customer service and quality, has allowed us to bring this unique dining experience to millions of travelers at one of the world’s flagship airports. We look forward to this next phase of our partnership.”
