BUFFALO, N.Y. (March 12, 2007) – Delaware North Companies Travel & Hospitality Services earned numerous honors at the announcement of Airport Revenue News’ 2007 Best Concessions Poll Winners. Delaware North Companies operations at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport helped the site pick up four first-place honors along with another second place award and a life-time achievement recognition.

It was through a lot of hard work, a strong partnership and a unified vision with the concession team at the Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport that we were able to win these awards”
Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport picked up first place honors for the Airport with the Best Overall Concession Program (McNamara Terminal), Airport with the Best Concessions Management Team (McNamara Terminal), Airport with the Best Overall Concession Program Design (McNamara Terminal) and Airport with the most unique services. It took home second place for the Airport with the Best Customer Service and Wayne County Airport Authority CEO Lester Robinson also received the Airport Revenue News’ prestigious Best Director of the Year award at the ceremony.
“Clearly, those awards tell you it was a banner year for our Detroit operations,” Biello added. “But, we deliver the same quality and creativity to all of our airport locations. These awards only fuel our desire to become better as a company and better serve our customers every day.”
Delaware North Companies also received top individual honors for Three Irish / Guinness Pub and Fuddruckers located on concourses B & C, in McNamara Terminal at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport. Both restaurants were named Best New Food & Beverage Concepts and The Irish / Guinness Pub also received a second place mention for Best Restaurant Design.
Delaware North Companies learned of their achievements at Airport Revenue News’ 2007 Best Concession Awards in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida earlier this month. The awards and ceremony were the culmination of three successful days of exhibiting, networking and learning at ARN’s Airport Revenue Conference & Exhibition.
