Delaware North Australia recently announced it has acquired the remainder of Northern Rise Village Services from joint-venture partner Northern Rise Holdings in a deal that continues the anticipated growth of the global hospitality company’s Australian and New Zealand operations.
Northern Rise Village Services provides accommodation, catering, transport and facility management services to the region’s resources, construction, tourism and government sectors, including remote parts of Australia. The business was formed in 2014 by Delaware North and Northern Rise Holdings to secure major contracts in the resources sector across northern Australia.
Delaware North’s acquisition of the remaining 49 percent of the joint venture gives it complete ownership of Northern Rise Village Services and is a further escalation of its interest in the growing remote services hospitality space.
“Since the formation of Northern Rise Village Services and its first contract with engineering firm Laing O’Rourke to manage remote villages in the Surat Basin, the business has grown significantly to manage facilities at sites across Western Australia, Queensland and the Northern Territory,” said Delaware North Managing Director Gary Brown.
Northern Rise Village Services has a strong client base across Western Australia, Northern Territory and Queensland, servicing clients in the mining, construction, LNG and defence industries.
“It’s an exciting time for Delaware North and the hospitality services industry, and we look forward to making further announcements about the growth of our business in the region, which provides significant benefits for the communities we operate in through jobs and investment,” Brown said.
