As the first racetrack in New York state to offer video gaming entertainment, Saratoga Gaming and Raceway is now celebrating its five-year anniversary.

With poker quickly becoming the hot new game for many people in Central Florida, Daytona Beach Kennel Club& Poker Room has quickly gained the reputation as one of the leading poker rooms in the state of Florida.

Southland held their 2nd Annual Twelve Tournaments of Christmas providing much needed toys and cash during tough economic times. Toys were raised by hosting video poker, handicapping, black jack and poker tournaments for the first twelve days of December.

And the $100,000 winner is?Bonnie J. of Wintersville, Ohio. Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack presented Bonnie a check for $100,000 on Sunday, October 5, 2008 following the Final round of Wheeling Island's signature $100,000 Slot Tournament event.

Delaware North Companies has promoted James W. Simms to president and general manager of Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack, the largest operation of the company's nearly $800 million gaming and entertainment enterprise.

Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony for its new 43 table games including blackjack, craps, roulette and specialty games. Bob Marshall, President and General Manager of Wheeling Island said the ribbon cutting serves as the official grand opening of the new table games to the public.

Saratoga Gaming and Raceway is holding "Play for a Cause" on December 19 to show our appreciation and give back to our community. Nine local organizations have been chosen to receive an equal share of Saratoga Gaming and Raceway’s gaming profits for the day. The minimum amount donated will be $10,000 to each charity. Additionally, this day will be an opportunity to collect food for the holidays and toys for underprivileged children.

Boogie Nights have arrived at Vapor! Starting on August 3rd with Atlas, Vapor will host live acts every Friday night. Some of the biggest names in the Northeast including Pulse, Powerhouse and the New York Players will perform for no cover charge at Vapor.

Legendary R&B group, The Spinners will perform at Saratoga Gaming and Raceway on Sunday, August 19th. Tickets are on sale now for the 8:00pm show at the new night club, Vapor.

This morning, Southland Park Gaming & Racing President Barry J. Baldwin and Vice President and General Manager Troy Keeping delivered more than $276,332 in funds generated by greyhound racing to city and county officials.
