Delaware North Companies Sportservice Introduces ‘Boomstick Combo’ and Announces ‘The Great Bratbino’ at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington

Much-discussed two-foot-long, 1-pound hot dog now being offered with two 1-liter bottles of Coca-Cola; equally hefty brat to be rolled out

ARLINGTON, Texas (May 16, 2012) – Delaware North Companies Sportservice – food, beverage and retail partner of the Texas Rangers – this week introduced the “Boomstick Combo,” and unveiled plans for the next big thing: “The Great Bratbino.”

The Boomstick – a two-foot-long, 1-pound hot dog intended to feed as many as four – is now being offered as a combo with two 1-liter bottles of Coca-Cola, at Section 42 in Rangers Ballpark in Arlington.

“We believe this combination will offer family’s additional value at the ballpark,” said Casey Rapp, operations manager for Delaware North Companies Sportservice at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington.

The Sportservice team at the ballpark also announced that beginning May 25, Rangers fans can look for The Great Bratbino, a spinoff of the Boomstick. The two-foot-long, 1-pound bratwurst will come standard with sauerkraut but can be topped with chili, nacho cheese, grilled onions and jalapenos, much the same as the Boomstick.

Both the Boomstick and The Great Bratbino can be found near sections 16, 42 and 326, as well as in the Captain Morgan Club.

The Boomstick, which has garnered worldwide media attention since its introduction in April, was named as a tip of the cap to Rangers slugger Nelson Cruz – or more specifically, his bat. The latest addition to the Boomstick family, The Great Bratbino was named in honor of Josh Hamilton, who recently became only the 16th player in Major League Baseball history to hit four home runs in a game.
