BIG NEWS AT TENAYA LODGE THIS FALL INCLUDES GIANT SEQUOIAS AND PRESTIGIOUS TRAVEL AWARD

FISH CAMP, Calif.— September 6, 2018 — Mother nature may have canceled summer plans in Yosemite, but the park is back open and Tenaya Lodge, recent winner of SunsetMagazine’s 2018 Travel Awards for Best Park Classic hotel, has all the makings for a BIG fall getaway. COME FACE TO FACE WITH A GIANT
Just two miles from Tenaya Lodge, at the south entrance to Yosemite National Park, is the newly re-opened Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias, which features more than 500 “gentle giants” of the forest. Beginning late November, guests can unleash their creativity during a relaxing paint and wine session. A perfect end to a day spent exploring, the sessions are led by artist and naturalist Shirley Spencer who leads guests through traditional and experimental watercolor techniques and application. Easy-to-follow instruction and artist assistance ensures guests end the session with their own keepsake artistic masterpiece of the Yosemite landscape. Wine is included for adults 21 years and older.
