Menu (and chef) pumped up at Progressive Field

The home of the defending American League champion Cleveland Indians, Progressive Field, has a bulked up menu, thanks in large part to its weight-lifting executive chef.

In the general concessions areas, Indians fans will find new offerings, including:

progressivefieldfood-6572236Veal Parmesan Sliders: Hand-crafted veal parmesan sausage sliders from Cleveland-based Holiday Sausage, topped with marinara, parmesan cheese and micro basil.
Nano Slider Trio: A trio of beef sliders – the Nano Slider with beer mustard, beer onions, pickles and American cheese; the Acid Trip with spicy mayo, cole slaw, pickled onions, cheddar cheese and a balsamic reduction; and the Spicy Slider with spicy mayo, cheddar cheese, caramelized onions and poblanos.
Po’Man: Smoked Kielbasa, potato and cheese pierogis, sauerkraut and Dortmunder Gold Bertman’s Ballpark Mustard.

Meanwhile, Executive Chef Josh Ingraham finds himself in the running to land on the cover of Men’s Health magazine, thanks to its “Ultimate Guy” contest. The Indians’ official blog has the details below.

“If you haven’t noticed, the food at Progressive Field is awesome, and Chef Josh is a big part of that,” TribeVibe.MLBlogs.com said. “He also prides himself on his fitness, as one of his goals is to dispel the myth of chefs being overweight and angry. (He’s about as high energy and positive as you can get.).”

“So do us a favor: Vote for him by clicking here,” TribeVibe.com continued.
