Patina Catering feeds star-studded Emmy’s – for the 20th consecutive year

Patina Catering, an arm of Patina Restaurant Group, which in May 2014 became part of Delaware North, marked its 20th straight year of catering the Emmy® Awards Governors Ball, which annually recognizes the who’s who of the entertainment-television world.

Serving a three-course meal to 4,000 of Hollywood’s elite for 20 years is job unlike many in the culinary world, but Patina Restaurant Group Founder and Chef Joachim Splichal continues rising to the occasion – and it certainly hasn’t gone unnoticed.

“Host Andy Sandberg and co. will be walking into a transformed Convention Center sparkling with 4.4 million glittering beads, 45,000 individual Swarovski crystals, 1,500 white roses and 2,500 candles. Patina will be feeding the well-dressed, award-winning hoards for the 20th year in a row, and David Foster along with world-renowned tenor Andrea Bocelli will be providing the entertainmensplichal-7396655t. The whole shebang is a class act – it amazes me how Patina churns out thousands of beyond delish, piping hot dishes (in perfect unison!) at each event,” said Los Angeles Magazine, one of several outlets to recently recognize Patina’s efforts at the star-studded event.

Splichal also was featured by Haute Living about the occasion of Patina’s 20th anniversary at the Emmy® Awards Governors Ball.

“We set up 15 stations –15 individual kitchens – and every station services 260 people; we have about 200 chefs,” Splichal said in the question-and-answer-style piece, which can be read in its entirety by clicking here. “It happens in 60 minutes and then, boom, it’s over.”
