Jumer’s Casino & Hotel debuts refreshed look and menu for steakhouse

Jumer’s Casino & Hotel, owned and operated by Delaware North in Rock Island, Ill., recently reopened one of its premier dining spaces after renovations to refresh the look and feel.

DJ’s Steakhouse was closed earlier this year to complete the renovations, but is now reopened for guests and boasts a more relaxed, casual atmosphere, while retaining some of the previous steakhouse ambiance. New carpet, tables and chairs, and lighting complement an expanded seating area, which was made possible by removing a wall that bordered the casino floor.

Beyond the aesthetic changes, the steakhouse features a number of new menu items, as well as some returning guest-favorite dishes. DJ’s bar also features 20 craft beer selections and four local brews on tap.

In addition to the revamped restaurant space, a new walkway has been created in conjunction with the dining area renovation that will provide easier access to the Player’s Buffet, eliminating the need to enter through the casino floor. This new access is located next to the entrance of DJ’s Steakhouse and provides an open view of both the casino floor and the extended seating area of the refreshed steakhouse.

The official reopening of DJ’s Steakhouse was August 6, with some new signature menu items, including:

Steel Seared Scallops: Fried green tomatoes, house cured bacon, bourbon blueberry jam and mint leaf.

Cast Iron Salmon: Served with balsamic brussels sprouts, roasted fingerling potatoes and lemon gremolata cream.

Pork Osso Bucco Pappardelle Noodle: Slow-roasted osso bucco, pappardelle noodle, rustic tomato sauce, pesto and parmesan.

You Build It Cheesecake: Cheesecake batter, graham cracker crust and three custom toppings prepared by the chef.
