Delaware North is No. 1 in ballpark fare, says fan survey

Delaware North Sportservice dominated a recent national fan survey on MLB stadiums by SeatGeek, a mobile-focused event ticket platform. In fact, Guaranteed Rate Field, where Delaware North operates concessions and catering services for the Chicago White Sox, ranked No. 1 in the food category.

SeatGeek created MLB fan-driven stadium guides from the feedback of nearly 8,000 fans. The survey focused on several categories, including atmosphere and bathrooms, as well as food, at all 30 stadiums.

Five other Delaware North Sportservice locations also ranked in the top 10 in the food category, including Petco Park (San Diego Padres) at No. 3, Progressive Field (Cleveland Indians) at No. 6, Miller Park (Milwaukee Brewers) at No. 8, Oriole Park at Camden Yards (Baltimore Orioles) at No. 9 and Target Field (Minnesota Twins) at No. 10.

What’s more, the subsidiary had the top overall score over its competitors.

Carlos Bernal, president of Delaware North Sportservice, credits the hard work of his operators, culinarians and data analysts, and their active approach to customer engagement, innovative concepts and thoughtful use of data and analytics.

“The fans are the ultimate arbiter of our success, so these results serve as a validator that we’re doing something right,” Bernal said. “It’s gratifying to see Delaware North atop the rankings. This will help us build momentum throughout the year.”
