The Lodge at Geneva-on-the-Lake, which Delaware North operates in Geneva, Ohio, for Ashtabula County, Oct. 1–3 hosted the Ohio Travel Association’s annual Ohio Conference on Travel.

The conference brought over 300 tourism, hospitality and destination marketing professionals from across Ohio and surrounding states for three days of education, networking, recognition and strategic discussion.

Attendees of the conference were treated to an expertly designed menu with local ingredients curated by Executive Chef Laura Bradek and Sous Chef Heidi Eutsey. The centerpiece of the menu items was the local Purple Cow grape ice cream, served in a solid ice bowl and illuminated by a lightbulb within.

Delaware North Parks and Resorts hosted the Ohio Travel Association’s annual Ohio Conference on Travel at the Lodge at Geneva-on-the-Lake. Attendees enjoyed scenic views, specially curated menus and even local Purple Cow grape ice cream (seen at left).

The Ashtabula County Convention & Visitors Bureau was the driving force behind bringing the event to the lodge and received five of the conference RUBY awards for tourism marketing campaigns.

Lodge team members were praised for the service and hospitality provided throughout the conference, including by Deputy Director of the Ohio Travel Association Janet Johnson:

“I want to extend a warm and heartfelt thank you to you and your entire masterful team for executing an absolutely amazing event for our annual statewide conference for the travel and tourism industry.

“This event is no small feat,” Johnson continued. “It involves countless details and requires flexibility for ad-lib changes once we’re onsite. Only a truly experienced and dedicated team can pull this off seamlessly, ensuring that attendees barely notice the behind-the-scenes adjustments. Your team did just that … and it’s a testament to your leadership and the excellence of your team.”
