Finger Lakes begins 2016 season on Saturday
The 2016 live thoroughbred racing meet at Finger Lakes Gaming & Racetrack (FLGR) is set to get underway on Saturday, April 16. The historic Western New York track’s 54th season will begin with the eight-race Opening Day card. Post time for the first race is scheduled for 1:10 p.m. Racing gates open at 11:30 am.

Literacy Volunteers of Ontario-Yates wins 2015 Charity Cup
A day of celebration and recognition of area charitable organizations came to a close today at Finger Lakes Gaming & Racetrack with the Literacy Volunteers of Ontario-Yates, Inc. taking the top donation prize of $10,000 in the fifth annual Charity Cup this afternoon. A total of $30,000 was offered by FLGR in support of the participating organizations.

Calling for applicants to participate in eighth annual Charity Cup
On Saturday, October 17, Finger Lakes Gaming & Racetrack present the eighth annual $30,000 Charity Cup event, a day of racing and acknowledgment of charitable community service organizations. Applications are now being accepted to help select which six not-for-profits will compete for a share of $30,000 through an interactive event surrounding an afternoon of thoroughbred racing.

Frisky Warrior named 2013 Horse of the Year
Frisky Warrior was named 2013 Finger Lakes “Horse of the Year” at the annual Finger Lakes Horsemen's Benevolent and Protective Association awards dinner on Saturday. The chestnut gelding owned and trained by Ralph D’Alessandro won five of his eight Finger Lakes starts this year.

50th Season Concludes At Finger Lakes
FARMINGTON, N.Y. – Finger Lakes Casino and Racetrack concluded its 50th year of racing on Friday with Bandit Lady winning the final race of the season. Wilfredo Rohena guided the 5-year-old mare to a six and three-quarter length victory in the ninth race for trainer Jeremiah Englehart.
