PGA of America selects Delaware North’s Patina Restaurant Group as hospitality partner for Championship events and 2025 Ryder Cup

Longtime sports hospitality and restaurant company entered professional golf sector at 2021 PGA Championship and 2021 KPMG Women's PGA Championship

BUFFALO, N.Y., and PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. (May 16, 2022) – PGA of America and Delaware North’s Patina Restaurant Group, a leader in the premium segment of the restaurant and catering industry, today announced an extension to their partnership for hospitality operations at PGA of America events.

Under the new multiyear agreement, Patina Restaurant Group will operate all food and beverage services at annual events such as the PGA Championship, KPMG Women’s PGA Championship and KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship, along with the 2025 Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black in Farmingdale, N.Y., on Long Island.

Patina entered the golf hospitality sector in 2021 by serving fans at both the PGA Championship at The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island Golf Resort and KPMG Women’s PGA Championship at the Atlanta Athletic Club.

Patina Restaurant Group is a wholly owned division of global hospitality and entertainment company Delaware North. The company’s global experience in the hospitality industry includes catering and food service at high-profile events such as The Australian Open, Super Bowl, World Series, all-star games, the Stanley Cup Final, NBA Finals and Emmy Awards Governors Ball.

“As a company, we live by our vision, ‘To delight guests by creating the world’s best experiences today while reimagining tomorrow,’” said Bob Wilson, group president of Patina Restaurant Group, Delaware North Travel and U.K. operations. “On behalf of Patina Restaurant Group and Delaware North, I’m incredibly proud to partner with PGA of America and build on the success we had during our first two events in 2021.”

Beginning with the 2022 PGA Championship, which takes place May 19-22 at Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa, Okla., Patina will manage general concessions, corporate hospitality chalets, VIP spaces and private events – all with an emphasis on local fare.

To prepare for the event, Patina’s PGA-focused culinary team – led by General Manager Eric Babcook and Executive Chef Edward Milan – spent several weeks from February through late-March working alongside Delaware North’s onsite culinary team at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. With the use of the kitchens at the NFL venue, Milan focused on timing, presentation and, of course, quality.

“It’s great to have the support of the company to use a venue like this to test out our menus,” Milan said of MetLife Stadium. “We are really bringing the best of our big-game ability to PGA of America events, and fans can expect to experience the difference for years to come.”

In 2022, Patina will also serve fans at the KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship (May 23-29 at Harbor Shores Resort in Benton Harbor, Mich.) and KPMG Women’s PGA Championship (June 21-26 at Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, Md.).
