Patina Restaurant Group Disney Springs locations donate $4,000 to Florida Breast Cancer Foundation

Delaware North’s Patina Restaurant Group earlier this month presented the Florida Breast Cancer Foundation with a check for nearly $4,000 after a monthlong cocktail and mocktail promotion.

The donation came from proceeds of the Pink Ribbon cocktail, a featured drink throughout October at The Edison, Maria & Enzo’s Ristorante and Enzo’s Hideaway in Disney Springs in Orlando.

“Patina Restaurant Group is always proud to support local nonprofit organizations in Florida, a community we feel very privileged to be a part of,” said Patina Restaurant Group Marketing Director Kyle Collins. “We’re thrilled to be able to aid our neighbors in Miami at Florida Breast Cancer Foundation in their valiant mission to end breast cancer through research, education and advocacy.”

The cocktail was designed by Alana Sullivan, a bartender/mixologist at The Edison, for her mother who is a breast cancer survivor. When Sullivan was living and working in New Orleans, she designed the cocktail and won first place in a competition supporting breast cancer research.

“A couple of months ago, Alana and I were speaking about cocktail development, and she told me the story about the Pink Ribbon cocktail,” said Aaron Ferg, general manager at The Edison. “We knew immediately that we needed to bring it to the cocktail menu. The whole team jumped behind the idea and made it a success. Helping a great cause was a definite point of pride for everyone, especially Alana.”

The cocktail was made with Herradura Reposado, watermelon juice, lime juice, fresh muddled raspberries and mint leaves, with a nonalcoholic version available, as well.
