Wheeling Island Racetrack & Gaming Center’s new Poker Room celebrated its grand opening this weekend with hundreds of guests visiting from across the tri-state region. The Poker Room saw steady action for three days with all of its 20 tables full just 2 hours after opening and a waiting list for those still wanting to play.

Wheeling Island Racetrack & Gaming Center announces they will host two charity poker events on Monday, October 15 and Tuesday, October 16, 2007 from 4pm-8pm in their newly constructed Poker Room.

Wheeling Island Racetrack & Gaming announces its $100,000 Slot Tournament starting in September. Each month 50 lucky winners will qualify for the grand finals in October 2008 with one lucky winner taking home the grand prize of $100,000 cash! 

The Columbus Blue Jackets announced today that the hockey club has entered into a new marketing partnership with Wheeling Island Racetrack & Gaming Center in Wheeling, West Virginia. 

Wheeling Island Racetrack & Gaming Center is proud to announce its partnership with The Ohio Valley Golf Association as the title sponsor of the 2007 Ohio Valley Amateur Golf Championship held on September 15-16, 2007, as well as the Participant Appreciation Banquet held on September 19, 2007 at 6pm in the Wheeling Island meeting rooms. 

Boogie Nights have arrived at Vapor! Starting on August 3rd with Atlas, Vapor will host live acts every Friday night. Some of the biggest names in the Northeast including Pulse, Powerhouse and the New York Players will perform for no cover charge at Vapor. 

Legendary R&B group, The Spinners will perform at Saratoga Gaming and Raceway on Sunday, August 19th. Tickets are on sale now for the 8:00pm show at the new night club, Vapor. 

This morning, Southland Park Gaming & Racing President Barry J. Baldwin and Vice President and General Manager Troy Keeping delivered more than $276,332 in funds generated by greyhound racing to city and county officials. 

Barry Baldwin is set to retire this month as president of Southland Park Gaming & Racing but will continue to serve the facility and its parent company, Delaware North Companies Gaming & Entertainment, as an adviser and as a representative to the West Memphis community. 

Southland Park Gaming & Racing, a longtime cornerstone of the West Memphis community, this evening honored the Rev. Fred Parker and his wife, Betty, as the first "Southland Park Community Champions."
