As summer has brought back scores of visitors and guests to Delaware North’s Parks and Resorts properties throughout the United States, so, too, has it brought a renewed attention to the division’s efforts with GreenPath, Delaware North’s environmental management and stewardship platform.

Melbourne Airport, at which Delaware North operates a wide range of food and beverage services, last month announced its commitment to ensuring all front-of-house hospitality venues and lounges are single-use plastic free by the end of 2021.

Delaware Northis celebrating Earth Month in partnership with Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. by offering guests at 13 parks and resorts locations across the United States a tree sapling to plant in their community. 

The Delaware North-operated Gideon Putnam in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., takes recycling very seriously - even tracking down a local company that recycles Styrofoam.

Delaware North at Grand Canyon National Park is now designated as a “Bicycle Friendly Business” by the League of American Bicyclists.

The Preserve at Rathbun Lake -- located at the Delaware North-operated Honey Creek Resort in Rathbun, Iowa -- has retained its designation as a “Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary” through the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program for Golf Courses.

The Minnesota Twins and Target Field, where Delaware North Sportservice provides food, beverage and retail services, recently announced they will receive the 2019 Leadership Award for Outstanding Commitment to advancing green building by the U.S. Green Building Council.

SunTrust Park, where Delaware North operates hospitality services for the Atlanta Braves, last week was awarded Best Sustainability Initiative as part of the Excellence in Concessions Awards given out by VenuesNow magazine.

The Delaware North Building, Delaware North’s global headquarters at 250 Delaware Ave. in Buffalo, New York, has been certified as a LEED Silver building by the U.S. Green Building Council.
