Explore Better set to inspire travel and make discovering national parks easier and more accessible

Delaware North debuts enhanced online content and trip planning platform highlighting beloved U.S. destinations

Perfectly timed for the summer travel season, Delaware North’s newly enhanced Explore Better content and travel planning platform provides a valuable resource for travelers who are considering a visit to a national park and other outdoor destinations.

The expanded digital platform (www.explorebetter.com) provides a collection of unique itineraries, suggested routes and exclusive local information for journeys across the United States. Drawing upon in-depth knowledge from site curator Delaware North – a leading hospitality company and longtime national park concessionaire – the site offers a variety of options for travelers to plan their visit, along with a new trip planning and road trip mapping feature.

“The goal of Explore Better is to inspire travel and to create memories, while streamlining the planning process from inception to reservation,” said Catherine Leitner, vice president of sales and marketing for Delaware North’s Parks and Resorts division. “As partners in the stewardship of these extraordinary destinations, we have years of hospitality experience to help travelers discover new and exciting reasons to plan a visit to one of the country’s national parks.”

Explore Better features detailed accommodation, dining, activity and recreation information for exploring a variety of iconic national and state parks, including Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, Yosemite and Shenandoah. The online experience is designed for travelers who want to make the most of their journey – whether for adventure, romance, wellness, traveling with pets and families, or simply enjoying the majestic beauty of the great outdoors.

The platform is also designed to feature real-life stories from travel enthusiasts who contribute their own travel tips and inspirational moments. Travelers can share their own unique tips and photos to be featured on the platform, and can connect with the Explore Better community through Instagram and Facebook.

According to the U.S. Travel Association, about six in 10 Americans are planning at least one trip this summer, with visitation to national parks rebounding from the pandemic. Interest remains high, with nearly 297 million visitors exploring the parks in 2021 – up 60 million visits from 2020 – according to the National Park Service.
