Delaware North Companies Unveils Expansive Array of Exclusive Merchandise at Boston Bruins Championship Banner Raising

Delaware North Companies Retail lauded by NHL for exceeding customer needs with more than 100 products featuring the Stanley Cup

BOSTON, Mass., (October 24, 2011)Delaware North Companies, owner and operator of Boston’s premier sports and entertainment arena, TD Garden, is celebrating the start to the Boston Bruins 2011-2012 NHL season by providing the largest and most unique selection of exclusive 2011 Stanley Cup Championship items in the Boston area.  More than one third of the items at TD Garden are exclusive to the arena, including 100 Stanley Cup Championship products in more than 30 styles.
 
Additional points of sale make it easy for fans to find exclusive products and check out without losing valuable game time. TD Garden now features 11 total stores, including three retail stands dedicated to Stanley Cup Championship merchandise and 11 wireless points of sale. That means that fans now have more access to favorite Boston-based brands, such as Old Time Hockey, Reebok and the popular line 47 Brand.
 
"The Boston Bruins and the Delaware North Group have done a tremendous job collaborating with NHL licensees to create an assortment of exclusive products that commemorate the Stanley Cup Championship," said Jim Haskins, NHL group vice president of consumer products licensing. "These special items truly celebrate the history of the Bruins and unique passion of Boston hockey fans while showcasing the most revered trophy in all of professional sports.” 
 
Some items featuring exclusive championship designs include:
  • T-shirts for men, women, youth, toddlers and infants
  • Headwear, glassware, banners and framed photos
  • Jackets and pucks featuring the six-time championship design
  • Unique collectibles and novelty items such as wool blended banner
  • Special products such as leather varsity jackets with retro Stanley Cup patches
  • Clothing that displays vintage team-related artworks from 1939
  • An opening night blinking T-shirt
  • Frames made from a recycled Stanley Cup Final banner  
 
Boston Bruins fans also have more options to personalize their experience. New designs were added to the personalization stand, and TD Garden is the first NHL arena to bring in the Coveroo electronic device engraving machine, a product created by LA based company Live On Productions. Coveroo allows fans to engrave Stanley Cup Championship logos on their iPad, iPhone case or even pet tags.
 
To accommodate the array of merchandise for opening night, the ProShop opened a tent at the Fan Fest to carry all banner-themed pucks, pins, pennants and T-shirts.  An additional memorabilia-only tent outside the Pro Shop featured framed, autographed player photos and additional frames with the Stanley Cup Champions logo.
