BUFFALO, N.Y. (March 21, 2011) – Three airports where Delaware North Companies Travel Hospitality Services operates – Newark Liberty International Airport, Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport and Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport – are among those Airport Revenue News, a leading trade journal, is applauding this year. All three have earned a spot in the publication’s annual Best Airport & Concessionaire contest.
Newark was part of a three-way tie for the airport with the best overall concessions program and was named the terminal with the best concessions program design.
Phoenix was deemed as having the terminal with the best customer service and the terminal with the best concessions management team (tie), while the operations in Terminal D in Dallas were lauded as the best overall concession program in ARN’s Single-Terminal Division.
Also making headlines recently was Los Angeles International Airport, another Delaware North airport. Three of its concessions concepts – Encounter Restaurant, Pink’s Hot Dogs and La Brea Bakery – were included in a FoodandWine.com article titled “Ultimate Airport Dining Survival Guide: Best Airport Restaurants.”
The Food & Wine article also praised Delaware North's concepts Corky’s BBQ in Memphis International Airport and the Salt Lick Bar-B-Que in Austin Bergstrom International Airport.
