Delaware North Companies Parks & Resorts Kicks Off Rafting Season in Yosemite National Park

YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK, Calif., July 14, 2011— Bikers are cruising on the paths, families are enjoying s’mores at night and summer is now in full-swing with the opening of rafting in Yosemite National Park today. Delaware North Companies Parks & Resorts at Yosemite offers three-mile rafting trips along the Merced River daily from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. starting July 14 and it anticipates the rafting season will run through Labor Day depending on weather and river level conditions.

The celebrated trophy made its first trip to Yosemite and its surrounds courtesy of Jeremy Jacobs, the owner of the champion Boston Bruins and Delaware North Companies, authorized concessioner for Yosemite National Park.

NASA’s Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex Awarded Space Shuttle Atlantis

Kennedy Space Center, Fla. (April 12, 2011) – NASA officials announced today that Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex has been selected to permanently display space shuttle Atlantis upon retirement of the Space Shuttle Program. Atlantis, one of three orbiters in the space shuttle fleet, will fly the last scheduled space shuttle mission before being retired in 2011.
